Kira is on a nest tonight. She's been on it for 2-3 hours now, highly unusual. She never sleeps in a nest. Wonder if she's going broody since it is in her line. Hmm. Hope there's nothing wrong with her. She's usually one who screeches if you think about touching her on a nest, and tonight, she didn't make a sound when I reached under her to check for an egg. Maybe she's one who gets quieter when she broods. No idea what's up with her.

No broodys this time of year...yank her off that nest.

Scott pffftttt my DH is the same ht as you at 188 lbs and I love it. I was even happier when he was at 220 lbs. It is funny to watch us eat the exact opposite in food and workout in the gym with the exact opposite of goals. hahahahaha


Cannonball got Fattie and the EEs into the BOSS so maybe thor and Athena will give them a try.

My Dellies will massacre anything that even closely resembles a sunflower... I started feeding them BOSS last year and now they come charging when they see the brown paper bag of goodies.

I planted some of the seeds around their run and it was so funny to watch the birds hop up at the drooping sunflower heads towards the end of the growing season. Their efforts were relentless until they got the danged thing on the ground where they then proceeded devoured it.

Needless to say my hens have no problem putting on a few pounds...

Hopin' Kira is alright. Broody would be ok. Anything other than being, "under the weather," is ok!

Maybe she misses Isaac?

Isaac is back with the girls-I just kept him separated overnight for the sore point to heal over a bit.

DH went out and brought Kira back to the house. Can't see anything wrong with her at all. Took her back out and will check on her first thing in the morning.

Here's some pics, finally, of my group. not the best of pics, but the ones I got before the batteries went kapoot in the camera.

They are around 12 wks. here and my girls sure are light in color 1 is solid white as a matter of fact she looks leghornish to me.

I am no expert by any means, but the legs look wrong to me...Dellie legs are very yellow yours look very pale to me

They are cuties though. It will be interesting to see what more experienced Dellie people say. I only have the two from these eggs so I am new to Dellies and learning.
