Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

HighSpringsChix- that is horrible, I hope they make it! I hope they find them in time.

Laney- Congrats on the incubator. It is truly a sweet addiction! Enjoy it.

Yard full o' rocks - Iam sorry you had to do that. That is something I am not comfortable doing either. I have to pass that job on to my wonderful hubby. And even he is not happy with it. But sometimes, unfortunately, it needs to be done. So sorry it was one of your sweet girls.

Cetawin-Wow what a circus! I can only imagine the chaos going on at your place. Poor babies though, I can relate to your little girl that almost fainted. I am currently putting off a trip to the lab for that exact reason! I hate needles!!!!!!

Well, I hope I didn't miss anyone. I am still counting down till HighSpringsChix's eggs get here. Could possibly be tomorrow, but probably be Sat.

TaceyPerkins I must so admit that I was chuckling and had to turn my head away from her...she was putting on the "Pity Poor Ole Me" routine with the flare of a Drama graduate.

HighSprings...I HATE OUR POSTAL SERVICE! I am not one to even mention those people to...I nearly killed my carrier over the eggs Cyn shipped me. The man still runs like H*** when he sees me.

Whatever happened to the Postal Service motto about "Neither rain, nor snow nor sleet, etc?" We didn't get mail here for 4 days because the driver couldn't reach our mail box from his car because the state didn't plow close enough, blah, blah, blah.
GRRRR!!!! Highsprings- I hope that package makes it TODAY and that all is well! Poor girls!!!

Scott- my DH is a man amongst men, and he cries. I love him all the better for it.

Cetawin- now I KNOW Athena and Ultrasuede belong together! And would Dr. R be amenable to sending out more copies? I am really curious also-

Laney- you have fun with your new toys- I am still holding out!

Kathy- how many incubators do you have?

Good morning to everyone else!!!!! Cynthia, I hope you are feeling better!

I may have a roo starting to feel rooish- last night I checked the water at about 9:00- and one of my boys standing in the back pulled himself up to full height, ruffled his hackles, spread his wings and gave me an enigmatic look- and kept his eye on my every move - not unfriendly at all, but just different than any of them have acted before- it's one of the three top choice roos- so we will see what develops!

What can I say, I'm a bargain shopper. I got the 2 HovaBators (with circulated air and egg turners) at a garage sale. Then, I found this super deal on the used Sportsman. None of the 3 had been used more than a couple hatches.

Why, Beth, did you want to borrow one?

Morning everyone!

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday...I'm better this morning, but gosh I HATE doing that.

Anyway, I started a new Dellie lover yesterday. Sent 8 chicks with Bob Roe of Ft Payne, Al...be looking for him

Cyn...looks like most of the snow is gonna be SOUTH of you, weird huh? Calling for 2" +/- here and 3-4" SOUTH of us....I bet Lockedhearts and Bargain get a BIG BUNCH. I'm really hoping that we get nothing from this as Jennifer and I were suppose to have a "date night tonight"...movie and dinner, with NO KIDS

I gotta go get some wood in too....we are all electric here and ICE is my biggest concern. Landon (oldest son) is leaving to go on a ski retreat with the church youth group today....guess they should have plenty of snow. They are headed up Beth's way to Lake Junaluska

Everyone stay warm....noontime is IBW for my Lt Brahmas and EEs....due to hatch Sun/Mon

Have a great day!!

Yard full o' rocks :

Kathy....I noticed in my sportsman that the water condenses or gathers under the hatching tray. Does it do the same with yours? Know any solutions?

Wished I had kept one of my Genesis 1588s just to use as a hatcher!!!

No, I haven't had that happen. Actually, I have a hard time getting the humidity above 55%. Yes, I am glad I kept the old HovaBators to hatch in. Though, I do have my eye on one of those new R-com King Suro 20 (NEW) .... WOW !!! It has auto everything! Regular price $459., on sale for $259.

Kathy, don't joke- it's getting harder and harder NOT to tell DH that I want a 'bator instead of a composter for my birthday! ESPECIALLY after seeing your silkie americauna thread and thinking of all those BBS Orp eggs at Cynthia's! AGH!!!

Scott- Hope you have that date- those are important!!!! AND I hope the new Dellie slave Bob gets on this thread!

Cynthia, I think the worst of the weather is going to miss both you and me- we may get a dusting tonight, but the news this morning showed it going farther south- you be careful chopping that wood!

Well, I need to go haul hay for the horses and then be the perfect Dellie slave- make treats, clean the coop and play outside!!!! There is a little larger melted area today- they can explore a bit farther. And i want to see if I can discover who has the Kazoo!

Yay, they arrived first thing this morning. And they were ok.

I am still going to get a refund. USPS does not deserve to get paid for taking 3 days to go 450 miles.

I never thought I would be so worried about a chicken. I guess I have it worse than I thought. We are processing the extra roo's tomorrow. I'm glad my hubbie is the one wielding the hatchet, I don't think I could.
