Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

I know...I am so happy with my babies. CB is healing so nicely, she scared the crap out of me with this stunt. Thor looks good too so I think I will put CB and Thor back with Athena and Fattie tonight. They are all doing well together in the garden and always have got on good. Fattie, as you can see, is still a mouthy mess.

Thor still has his beautiful 5 points just no blade

OMGosh ..... Athena is just beautiful ! Lovely, lovely, lovely! I'm betting she's gonna produce some stunning babies! Be nice to her, and maybe she will throw ya girls!

Glad to see Cannonball on the mend. Poor baby.

Laney, my fencing is up, but my gates are not. I am like you .... trying to figure which way will be better for the gates. I'm waiting for DH to get home before I decide. I like the idea of going from one pen into the next, since these runs are all connected. I did the back side of the building. I still need to do the fences that divide each one (currently is one big area). Then, I still have the front side to do!

I have all the materials, just need more time!

I'll tell ya what .... I almost had a Del for supper tonight .....oooooooh, that one little devil would not stop pestering me; pinching me, biting me, jumping on me, and getting in my way constantly! When I say bite .... I mean he took a piece of meat with him! Here's a picture .... that is a hole there!

I am so thankful that Fattie did not get skin today with her pant biting...dang it she has drawn blood several times biting just to get attention.

Since Athena started laying she has actually been a bit friendlier and I dunno what it is up with that.

She is very pretty and I do hope to get some beautiful blue girl babies from her and Thor. But I really cannot wait to see babies from Thor and my Luna. She is a splash giant cochin.

I am worrying about Thor's romancing ability poor guy is so much bigger than everyone...

I'm tellin' ya, if I hadn't been so busy, maybe it would have been comical. Picture this .... I am squeezed in tight quarters (between a wall and a roost), sitting on the floor, trying to hold up a 20"x 20" piece of plywood and working on screwing in a hinge with the drill .... This little brat just kept it up and kept it up, pinched me and bit me numerous times. I held his beak for a few seconds on at least 5 occassions. I also picked him up and tossed him away from me. Didn't matter .... none of it mattered. He was very persistant, to say the least. He got my hand as I was fiddling with the darn screw in the wood. He was quite bold! He climbed all over me; on my back, on my shoulders, on my head! I finally had enough .... and put him in chickie jail, so I could finish up! This is one of the younger ones.

Picture overload ..... I can't believe it, but I took 200 pictures today!

The girls outside .... while the boys are inside discussing their roles.

Then, they decided to go out and enjoy the weather. Lazy bums!

This is Del group # 2. As soon as I walk in the door, they rush me!

This is the brat that bit me! He was so much help today!

These are the eggs I gathered, and out of frustration (Dellies fault you know!), I knocked them off the picnic table, when I was putting a piece of lumber on it.

A couple hours later, I was able to collect a couple more. (Thinkin that one may be a double yolker)

My fancy shmancy pop doors I built. Lots more work yet to do! But, at least they all got outside.

Olive is an Olive Egger. I can hardly wait to see her lay eggs!

Hi Kathy,

Your Dels look pretty uniform. That looks like a large coop, how big is it. I just started a set of eggs from Claudia today. Dels from Claudia, and P. Rocks and RIR from a breeder in Penn..
