Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Tim, the Del eggs here are sometimes pinky-tan looking, almost peachy colored. You just have one who is a little more to the pink family, not unusual for Delawares.

Someone sent me a message about my ad to sell three of the Delaware hens. I got a rock in the pit of my stomach, thinking about them going elsewhere, especially Kira and Phoebe. I don't know why I always feel this way. I always get seller's remorse.

Well, if you feel comfortable with their living conditions and the person buying them, try not to worry. If you have any question they will not be cared for or housed properly, then do not sell them.

Good luck with the decision, I know how hard it is to say goodbye to even one of them.

I came this close -------><--------- to pulling the auction today. I do like them, I really do, and I think it's so hard because I keep focusing on what they will think, how confused they will be to find themselves separated from the others and in new surroundings. I'm sure it's harder on me than it is on them, but still....you know how I love my girls, even the ones who give me trouble on occasion.

awwww, Cyn .... It will be alright. Those girls will be fine. It may take a little adjustment, but they will do fine. You have other plans now, and need to just push forward. You can do it ! If you approve of the potential buyer, I say go for it. I was near tears getting rid of a couple of my mutts, but I knew I had to. Actually, I think I will just go blubber a bit now ...

OK .... moving on:
I have a question about Delaware roo tail length. What the heck is with this anyway .... I have long tails, short tails, and in between tails! What should I shoot for there? I have seen nice roo pictures of differing length, as well.

I don't know what the standard says, if anything, about length. I think it only mentions angle.

Oh, I changed my avatar to a better pic of Isaac. Somehow, it was gone from my computer so had to locate it on Photobucket, which then wouldn't let me save it to my computer again, so I had to start a thread, add that pic from photobucket, then save to my computer, then delete the started thread (preview mode only--I didn't post it) All that trouble to change an avatar.

Just got finished unpacking, they're settling now. Cyn's shipping job was AMAZING! I had to fight to get those eggs out of the box, L0L.

I'm uploading pictures now and I'll post in a bit, just couldn't wait.

BTW Cyn- I got a call from the post office this morning around 8:00 AM, unfortunately I went into work around 5 AM and couldn't leave until 12:30 to pick them up... that didn't matter though because they delivered the eggs to my house. Fortunately there was somebody home to receive them. I almost had an anxiety attack when I heard this. Every single one seems to have arrived safe and sound, so USPS lucked out this time.
