Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Kids caught a picture of me today. What do ya think ... would it make a good avatar?

Just think Jeremy, ours will be outgrowing that adorable Fuzzybutt stage and yours will just start hatching, just in time for you to taunt us, and we won't even have eggs in the incubator!!

I know I won't because I have to give mine like 5-6 weeks between hatching or the rotation between coops is all off! Besides, I have to grow out my Java's and sell off the extra Roosters before I can hatch again...and then my next hatch will probably be Java's and not Dellawares so I won't be bothering you with those pictures

Of course once my Delawares grow out, and I know who's a keeper and sell off the non keeper roos of that bunch, all bets are off on cute little Dellie butts!!!!

Hehehe. I honestly can't wait for my babies to hatch. I'm so excited and nervous, this being my first time ever hatching. I'm gonna have (well, hopefully.) so many little balls of yellow fluff running around the brooder I don't know what I'm going to do with myself! Cyn sent me 19 Delawares and they are all going to hatch and I'll have 18 pullets with 1 perfect roo. I know this already. Then from pips&peeps I got I've got 17 Wheaten or Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs that are cookin'... which will result in 16 Blue Wheaten pullets and 1 Blue Wheaten roo. Again, I know this. It's just the way these things work.

Oh and all of Cyn's BBS Orp eggs will be blue pullets. Duh.

Good Lord Kathy...are you trying to kill me with that picture? I was gingerly sipping my hot coffee at 5 am when I saw that and inhaled half the cup.....HOT!

Jeremy...Thor is not huge he is just husky. *as she runs to the garage to cover his ears*

He killed a robin last week....there were four of them dive bombing him and the girls in the garden and Thor did his raptor scream jumped up into the air and came down on top of the robin. I had to dispatch the robin because it was suffering...Thor messed it up badly and I could not watch it die slowly. He went after another one but it managed to hop out of his reach and get away. He is going to be a force to be reckoned with when he is all grown up. But he is so sweet with me...but he has to "try" to run away from me when I go to pick him up from the garden and carry him inside for the night. The big show for the girls you know.

Athena is beautiful for sure but I wish she had my Dellie Cannonball's personality and disposition. I am going to give Thor my big Splash Cochin girl and make me some splash feather footed Orpingtons once I get to Kentucky.

Laney...those babies are so precious. Cannot wait to watch them grow up and change....I love watching them change daily.

Morning all.....my last post here for a few days. Headed to church then a "mad dash" to the airport.

Atlanta to LAX at 415pm.

LAX to Guangzhou at 11:50pm tonight....uugghhh (hope these sleeping pills the Doc gave me work)

Anyway, y'all hold down the "delaware fort" and I'll try to catch up and post some pix while I'm gone.

Be good and behave while I'm gone!!!

Evil, evil women torturing me having to see all the adorable fuzz butts while mine are still cookin'.

Um, Jeremy, never say "cookin'" when speaking about your incubator.
wink.png

Scott, hope you have a good trip and come back to us safely. We'll miss you!
