Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Love your story, Germaine! I am glad to hear your instructions were followed! That is exactly my plan .... to have a bachelor's pad. I am not sure yet if this is gonna be extra roos or ALL of them! LOL Actually, I guess I should just call it the cull pen, and put all my freezer camp candidates in there and feed them very well for a couple weeks before processing.

Beth, The computer will go down right before I climb into the U-haul. Internet connection at the house goes up on the 1st and the phone goes up on the 31st, so I will call Cyn from the house as soon as possible but I hope to get in touch with her at least once along the way.

Rwoman, the area where the two teeth were removed is pretty good...still sore and throbbing every now and again but workable. Cheyenne is and Grandma other fits. Grandmother is busy trying to shove her into dresses and boots while Cheyenne is is refusing to have her hair braided and refusing to put on the dresses, choosing instead to go outside and hide in a tall tree in the woods.

But grandmother is having a great time. What do you expect when you put two stubborn mules in one location...there is bound to be trouble.

I did give the MIL fair warning so she is on her own. We went through cheyenne's boxes until 2:30 this morning....and funny how we got rid of 6 bags of garbage and repacked the 30 boxes down to about 17.

Well back to it all...check in a bit later.

Tim we need a video of your morning in the hen house.

was too funny.

I've got a sweet Deli story for you all. some of you may remember Sweetheart my little hen that got attacked, and lost an eye. Well she is going good, about to lay anytime now and living upto her name. When my Grandma came out from CA she wanted to see all my animals as always. So we went out to the coop and she was sitting by the brooder looking at my wild looking bunch of chicks, when Sweetheart jumped on to the brooder, then into my grandmas lap! That little chicken turned on the charm, and put her head on my grandmas shoulder. I sware she was more like a cat then a bird. She never gets in my lap

I'm down to 34 adult chickens (and 7 chicks). Pumpkinpup came, with lockedhearts riding shotgun, and bought my big beautiful breeder type RIR hens. Was nice to see them again today, but I think it's about the first time they've left without about six dozen eggs, LOL. Sold three of the Delaware hens a couple weeks ago. After Dutchie's little misstep, he may end up elsewhere, and if he does, I think I'll put Isaac back in with the main flock. He'd never bite me, such a good boy! If the Delawares will just leave Ike alone, now that he's all healed up and good as new, may end up with some pure Del eggs again, eventually. Just never know around here, LOL!
