Beth, I'm crying tears right now for you and Tig. Big hug for your DH for helping you. I'm not a cat person, I can't be as a visit to my lap from the wrong cat can send me to the ER. (I have selective cat allergies, the right dander gets me bad, all the dander makes my allergies flare). However, everyone I love absolutely adores cats, and I can see the wonders they can bring into our lives. I love my dogs and with all the fencing we have here for our goats, the barbed wire etc... Let's just leave it at, I was sad enough I had to go bake some Gluten Free Betty Crocker Brownies.
Cyn, Please pass along my prayers to LadyHawk and keep us posted on her progress. I think I'll worry until I know she has pulled into her new driveway.
Kathy, I feel exactly the same way about this thread. Is there really a topic anymore? I know there is a common bond in Delawares.
BTW, I used the new Breed Selection tool, and it came up with 4 Breeds for me. Astralorp, Delaware, Java, and Orpinton. (It also included Production, but is that really a breed?)
I actually own 3 of those breeds and plan to breed 2 of them.
Oh, and do Suede's daughters rock too? Because I think I've got a Splash Hen. I've got to get a picture of her soon, she is starting to have some multi-colored feathering come in, and it's gorgeous because it's a combination of very dark and very light.
