Sounds like you may have to train the neighbors...that's gonna be fun. If you weren't so far I'd offer to help!!!! I love painting and building and punting banties and training neighbors and.....stuff

Anyone wanting to paint ..... just come on over my way! We moved here 3 years ago, and the walls are all still drab eggshell. THEN, outside I have my breeder barn just screaming for primer/sealer and paint! Consider this an open invitation!

BTW .... Delaware news .... I am hatching as we speak. I have 5 new Delaware chicks from ShelleyB1969 eggs. I don't see any Rhodels in there yet. (Del x RIR).

Hatched a few Olive Eggers and Pine Groves FABULOUS RIRs

today as well. Yesterday I received my Dick Hortsman order of BR, RIR, rosecomb RIR, and blue Orps. I no longer want those Orps though, because after I placed the order I was able to get some of Bama's Orps. I only ordered a dozen from her, and she sent 24 of them!

Dick's order was long on RIRs and short on the BR and Orps. But, it works out for me, since I do have BR eggs in the bator.

As soon as the BR and Icelandics hatch .... I am done hatching for the year! Now I can sit back (right!) and watch them grow out, and choose my breeders!

OH WAIT ..... I will need to hatch a few of my project birds though.

ETA: Cetawin, Polly and Holly are back home now, from their vacation in Iowa with the relatives (where they were hiding out from you). If you went through Lincoln and Omaha, NE and on into Iowa, then you were right near them! HA HA HA ! ! !

kathy I wanna see those Rhodels! I bet they'll be cute!!! DD's Buff Orp gets lovin from our Del roo. I've been wondering what they'd look like too. I haven't hatched any of hers though. We keep her in her own private quarters until she lays her egg then we let her free range thus the fertility. My Del roo is enamored with her...it's cute. Bet they would make some pretty chickie's

I'm gonna look for a Del/Orp too...DD wants to hatch some out but I dunno....I just want Dels here besides her Buff hen, and she doesn't have a place to put them. I told her she could build her own coop....but so far, nothing. Kids are so wishy washy

I found one of my 8 week olds stuck between two boards in the coop this morning...poor little thing. She's laying here beside me now all puffed up. Her legs were stuck. One was behind her and the other under her. I saw her there yesterday afternoon, but I didn't know she was stuck! I wish I would have picked her up then! I thought she had just found her a quiet spot to sleep

and so I left her alone. I think she's just sore...hope she pulls through...she's so sweet!

. you could tell your naighbor they can help you get see up, so they will know how to do it for them self haha.

I had to put up some fence yesterday, I really don't like to the the birds free range. there is just too much that gos on around here. I think I'm going to end up with a chicken village in my back yard

and I think I'm going to have my grandpa turn an old side by side frige into a batter for me hee hee

Tank. I'll tell the truth, I do like him more then he likes me, but thats ok. lol
