Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Kathy I got 21 chicks from Pine Grove on Tues. They all arrived cute and healthy. Amazing that he mailed them from GA on Monday afternoon and I got a call from the Post Office tues. morning that they were there waiting for me. I just got my Bill Branden eggs and will start them this Sunday along with BR eggs from Jamie. Now all I need to do is build another chicken coop or two.

Cetawin I'm sorry you left the fine state of Oregon but glad you made it safe. I've been reading and following your trip on this thread and I admire your resiliency by hanging in there. I lived in GA in 2003 for a year and really enjoyed the people and sights. Best of luck to you.

Patrick,
It seems we have the same taste in chickens!

(Sound funny, doesn't it!)

I love the Delawares, the Barred Rocks, the Rhode Island Reds (as well as the other heritage breeds as Jersey Giants, Buckeyes and Orpingtons). They are the priorities with me, my others are just fun projects.

ETA: Yes, you should go ahead and start building more coops!

Should be easy for you, with your background in construction!

Kathy Yes we are close in your likes. I forgot to mention I had to buy an other incubator to finish off the last hatch of Orpintons and Jersey. and then I'm done!! (maybe)

Well thank you Vexor....ya kinda have to keep going once you give up your house in one place....there was no place to turn back and go to. hahahahaha

Beth...ya see what I mean? Borders = Death of all civilized taste in 99.9% of the cases. hahahahaha They are gonna be the death of me for sure...I have got to get some pictures of it this weekend to share.

I am surprised these birds have lasted this long as well...I saw a huge Hawk out in the tree behind the house this morning, several large raccoons and fox running about also. The best part is the coyotes singing at night

I am of the opinion that they shall be shot on sight and questions will be asked later. I am not messing with yotes, they are useless pains in the backside.

I need Cyn to come up and visit me.... Hey Cyn...I will come down and help you paint Suede and Ike's coops if you come up here and help me paint for a couple of days.

I will come help paint the coops for the boys anyway...I need to hug Suede
