Yup! You found the right place! And yes, sometimes these threads can be a little bit hard to find, especially when you're new to them. Below this message box you'll see a box just above the submit button that says "Subscribe to this topic". See it? Click on that and you will automatically get email updates whenever new posts have been made to the thread you are subscribed to. From there, just click the link contained in the email and POOF! You'll be taken directly to that thread! Pretty cool, huh?

Anyhow, I'm so glad you found us KerryAnn. Here are links to a couple of other Delaware related threads that you might enjoy as well.

This first one is based almost entirely on the friendships that have grown from our mutual love of Dellies. It's a great thread to get to know some of the people you'll likely be working with as we build the club and the website:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=384349&p=1

This next link will get you to a thread that is all about breeding. Walt Leonard has become quite involved with this one and has been very generous with his knowledge of breeding and genetics. You might really enjoy some of the information contained therein:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=393957&p=1

And of course you've found this thread. Those are the three main Delaware threads that I know of and am subscribed to. Beth or Kathy probably know of more good threads and can probably provide you with links to those as well. I'll warn ya right now Kerryann, this place can become so frighteningly addictive!

Huh? What? Whoa, wait! What? Girl! Are you crazy? I'm already down to freezing temperatures here at night! Where the heck am I supposed to put them?

I can't put them in the house. Not with all of the construction dust and noise going on every day, and it's about to get worse once we start with the ceiling drywall project!

And I already have FIVE Pump House Princesses now! No room in there for little chickies!! Coops? Not warm enough. So, where do you propose I put them? Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have some....someday....but right now???

You made it- I should have given you better directions, or a link, but I was so NOT thinking at the end of the session last night! The threads will take forever to sift through, but there are great pictures and some good info on them- and I would love to see pics of your Dels, too.

Nicole, Amy, Kathy, everyone! We got a great start- I hope we keep the energy up!

Nicole- that reminds me, what did you say you would work on last night? My notes are scrambled, but it seemed like you volunteered for something -I am already trying to put next Tuesday's agenda together!

I was going to work on the history, and Jeremy was going to as well.

Don't worry, mine are a total mess as well... I don't even think it could be good enough to be called chicken scratch
