HOORAY for 16 new Delaware babies!

Yes, I'm sorry, in all the stress, I forgot to say congrats on your new babies! Gee, maybe I should see if the feed store has some fuzzy butts I can add to these. Well, no, better not. If these don't hatch, I don't need to brood anything. If only one hatches, I need a pal for it, IF they still have some chicks.

Thanks! They are soooo sweet, and they'll be worth the trouble of brooding to me

Though, about week 5 it starts to get to me

I have an outside brooder, and an inside brooder to get them to the 3 week mark if I can stand it that long. LOTS of bedding changing!!!

Congrats, Cindi, on the precious little ones! I wish we knew how many Dels BYC people have brought into the world in this last year-

I did some weighing last night. I have two Delaware roosters one from Braden and the other from Sandhill. They both weighed not quite 8#'s. The Sandhill rooster is 5.5 months old and I think the Braden rooster a little bit older. I think they are going to be big boys. I haven't decided which one I'm going to use for my spring breeding yet. I know I need to get some pictures posted.
