Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

You know I thought if I hatched early folks would be more interested. These would lay early in May or June and folks would be able to see what they've got and cull in the fall. The roos would be big enough. But as things go no one seems to be in the same mind frame.

Lord have mercy I couldn't find only four hens and roo in the State. I posted all over the place on craigs. So when these came up I took them all. They were really stinky but after a day in clean shavings they looked and smell find. I had to drive home with the window on the car open they were so bad. They've laid from day one. I was amazed. I still get eggs that won't fit in the carton.

I know it's weird but I love to hold Nick and smell his feathers. Of course all the hens smell nice. Sometimes I take the girls and say to friends here smell her. They smell her and see that chickens don't stink. Or at least don't have to stink. Sorry TMI?

take care

Some are definitely larger than others. I have hens the size of the smaller roosters and some hens that are quite "petite". My biggest rooster... well... he will probably get culled as one of the first

I don't think I like his disposition. Furthermore; he has a lot of yellow in him
