Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

I gave my friend a couple eggs to hatch a little while ago. Only one hatched. If I remember right I think it's 6 weeks old this week. Anyway, not sure if the Delaware chick I have is a boy or girl. I'm leaning towards pullet.

I couldn't get any of the legs... not exactly cooperative!

My first thought was pullet, but hey, a better pic in the sunlight would help. Are the legs bright yellow? I hope so!

Kathy,

You have the prettiest Dels. I think mine are going to hatch this weekend. Had a mishap with the incubator so may get nothing but I candled and there is some movement or it could be wishful thinking.

I'll keep you up to date.

GREENISH yellow legs on DELAWARES - - -

A while back I posted a question about this - about the end of Nov 2010

I had two people respond to me - - - Lotsapiants and ? ? ?

Since then, I accidently deleted the second person's pm. . . . .

This person was in a NORTHERN state if that helps any. . . .

PLEASE pm me again if you remember discussing delaware leg color AND your flock with me.

THANKS

Small and light. I have one that was given to one of my kids for his night time flash light. I think it is a dollar store one probably cost a dollar. It is perfect as it sit just under the egg and very little light seeps out and I can easily cover that with my hand. Also, because it doesn't weigh much, I can handle the eggs better and have less risk of dropping it.

Who is Paul Harter in MO and does he have a good stock of Dels? Please send his info..
