That's what I thought, too! You see the ratios though? Hahaha, only 1 in 32, approx. Oh well, I will have lots of hatching to do, and will surely have tons of grow outs in the processing pen.

Very cute!

Nice to see the interest in them hasn't completely fizzled out. I am really hoping the BBS will get more people to dabble in the breed. Here I am writing as if someone will actually read it.

On your project there HappyMtn I was just wandering what cross the hens are in the second pic. posted here because they look exactly like the BRxNH F1 females we are working with on the new Delaware strain project.

Keep up the good work and keep us informed on your results

And Mrs. Kathy I think I remember you(?) I think saying something about Coronation Delawares once if memory serves me correctly, uh huh, ahem.

You know what I absolutely love about the potential Blue barred/tailed Delawares?

Because of the Blue dilute gene... you'll have no green sheen!

As a meat project I've considered crossing some of my bigger Del girls with my English Orpington roo, Neville.

The Delawares are very fast growing and I'm hoping that they'll retain some of the girth of the Orps. We'll see!
