Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Thanks Farmer John. Here is the other boy I was looking at keeping. Of the five boys, these two look the best. This one is a bit older.

Looks good to me, although if you can, a better/closer pic of his comb would be great!

If you have good type, I really wouldn't be concerned with the comb. Comb is about the last thing I look at. Not saying I am an expert, that is just my 2 cents.

Aww he reminds me of the cockerel Shnuggles, I had in the spring.

He looks great, good topline, decent underline, from what I can see. It'll be interesting to see how he develops from there.

Yeah I like, esp. the younger one boy he's a chunck for a 7.5 wk. old looks like a possible prospect the older boy is right in that lanky "giraffe" stage now, give him about 4 to 6 wks. and you'll see a more mature bird as his hormones will be putting the rooster look to him more by then. I have 2 Delly roos that will be 2 yrs. old in Oct. my #1 choice when they were younger is now my #2 and <vice-versa> things sure change.

Thanks for the comments y'all. I do plan on keeping these two, along with my one + year old Rooster [he is from a different line]. As long as they are all getting along and we have no issues, they can stay. So far the one year old is in the sam coop as the 16 week old and they get along great. The youngest is still in the baby coop.

Not sure if it is alright to highjack a thread to ask a question or not, but it does pertain to the Delaware breed. I was wondering where a guy could get a few Delly's in or near Wisconsin. I live in SW wisconsin and am interested in them for a dual purpose flock.

Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Brandon

Hey all
frow.gif
I am new to the delaware world. I had a quad but, culled the roo recently due to health issues. I am looking for a nice quality replacement roo. I would prefer breeding age.

I am in western MD and would like pick up only... will travel a couple of hours for the right boy. Thanks!
