i have no clue why, but ever since her sis died she has been very flight..:( She is very calm once you pick her up though!!! (she is probably WAY more friendly than the average chicken (especially for her young age) but i hold mine every day and am shocked how much 2 of them still are weary of me! (i also give them treats frequently...)
Awwwwe

~Name: Gretchen
~Age: 18weeks
~Egg color (if any): not yet
~Fun facts: Gretchen had a sister, Regina (named after the mean girls in the movie Mean Girls), Regina turned out to be a boy :( She is the middle of the pecking order but is constantly trying to climb the ladder. She also has a "no touch" rule but will gladly take treats from us.

There is Thelma (BA) and Louise (BR) in the background. Thelma is the top chicken, Louise her second. Gretchen is always challenging Thelma and Thelma has no problem putting her back in line. But a girls gotta try, right?

Here she is with her best buddy, Rosie Rocket. She does like to boss her around but they are buds.

This is my kind of thread, I love EE's! Here are my three EE hens and EE cockerel that came from a hatchery as chicks. The hens lay pale blue green eggs. They are all 10 mos old. Recently, I hatched 4 of their eggs and these are their chicks (two sets of photos for the chicks)! They are 5 weeks old.
