I wish my phone took better pictures they don't do him justice. His red hackles and saddle feathers look waxed, deep shiny mahogany colored

Oh pretty. I need to get my own camera I use my daughters for any pictures that I take, and she gets so upset every time I tell her I need it. However I do have my own video camera when I remember to take it with me. I forgot to take it to my youngest daughters school when she was class queen. And Mr. Love had to escort her out because the King never showed up. Everyone stood up for her when she came out. So wish I had gotten that on video. We all laughed before we went to that, she said she wanted to take her little hen with her to be her princess. It was as funny as could be.

Just that one pair and the Roy Brady line from what I was told just aquired them.

Put 8 rubles about 3 weeks old on the ground from one of my above ground brooders sat there and watched as they dusted, flew and " frolicked " good times

I took some of my games to an APA sanctioned poultry show. Three of four I thought would fall under black breasted red while the other comes sort of close to ginger. I got disqualified on all but one pullet by two separate groups of judges. Even the pullet got notes of having poor color. A good portion of my females and all males I call black breasted reds are nearly dead ringers for red jungle fowl which to my knowledge are black breasted reds. I queried the second judge and after he got paste wanting to kick me out for evening questioning him (just wanted to understand was intent, not challenge him) he indicated even my pullet was way off mark for standard and males did not have a continuous red going down hackles. None of mine have that look. He directed me to look at the black breasted old English game bantams which look as if all came from same mold. That look is outside the range of colors patterns mine exhibit. Next year I will try to hit the game only show in Missouri that occurred at same time as this APA show. Maybe the game folks will take other factors into consideration. I am not keen on getting birds additional birds because mine don't meet criteria of bantam breeders.

Apparently just about, LOL. It was an open show where American Games could be shown in large fowl American Class. I was the only participant with American Games or any games besides what looked like a poor looking Aseel up for sale.

A past student of mine that did disease testing at door indicated another show was going on elswhwere in Missouri at same time and her co-worker was working their in a similar capacity. I want to hit it next year.
