Ruth, just wait until the boys get their full long tails. A male with a full tail flying or gliding by is an awesome sight! It's surprising how well they can fly despite that tail.

I have java greens too. It's interesting how both sexes are so colorful and shiny all over. They also feel very, very smooth, as if they were a solid thing instead of a feathered creature.

Those are some really awesome, beautiful peas. I like all of the different varities. Gotta get some of those. All of mine are Blue Indias.

Wow, these bird are gorgeous. I really miss my peacocks. We had 15 of them but had to sell them off because the neighbors were throwing a fit because of all the noise they made in the middle of the night. I told them to keep their cat inside at night and not to let it wander over into our yard. One of the cocks decided it had had enough of the cat and puss went home missing part of an ear. That set the neighbors of big time!!
IF we ever get rid of the neighbors I'm definitely getting some more.

I want some so badly but I just can't justify (with DH) the price people want for eggs or adults and the chicks are just to fragile.

All the above were found in the india blues,except the Jade(found in the spaulding)
Then you have the greens.

I have all colors except the greens,Jade,and Midnight. Have all 5 patterns.
