Show off your Peas!

Great pics FBC! Congrats on the new arrivals. Did you manage to get any good shots of the taupe hen's head, I'm a bit interested in the colouring.

I can get close up head pics of her for you.Tomorrow requires a road trip almost to Kansas City Mo,so I made a call and am taking my camera.Weather is supposed to be raining tho but if Violettas are cooperative I will get some pics.

Your going to Brad Legg's to get the violettas? If so I want pictures of his birds, especially the new colors. If not then I expect Violette pictures...

He is a beauty, does he have a name?

Glad to hear from ya again.
Sadly Mr. Pea is all I've come up with. He's the daddy to the chicks I had hatched. The man who owns the birds doesn't care much about them so I provide as much love and comfort for all the chickens and Mr. and Mrs. Pea as I can.
FBC - Roadtrip is stunning!!

Here is my pride of Pea Palace,,Roadtrip who was moved outside yesterday. Peachecker, where are you?? This peacocks train is 9' across and is no less than 6' high. Please notice no broken train feathers either. He was inside from November to April 20th in a 8'x12' pen along with 3 hens. You say too little space is cruel and causes the birds to peck ect. I have posted many of my adult males the past week whom all were housed overwinter inside small pens. Tell me Peachecker, does this male look like his housing space for the past 5 months hurt him in any way? Do I need to fence off thousands of feet to properly maintain my peas? Does this Peacock look in poor condition to you? Please advise?? Please click to enlarge

Some of the peas I am getting have been in 10x10 pens for several years as pairs or trios. They do not pick each other, I have shown photos on here of them the last 8 months. Granted, I am trying to get them home into bigger pens but I think they can do very well in small pens as long as they are well cared for.
Roadtrip is gorgeous! He looks to be in top shape for breeding season! You can tell he is well cared for and a happy fella.
