finally, I have osme new pictures to share of the Peas I acquired last Fall. the first 2 of of Prince Rupert or more commonly know as Roopy-Roo. He's 1 yr. and 2 months, one of last year's babies of the breeding pair I got. You can see one of his sisters in the background of the second picture.






These next pics are of the father. This is the first time I've been able to have a camera with me when they are out and he is showing. One of the next big projects to get done before snow fly is their pen/aviary. It'll be 50' x 50' with a divide in the center so Roopie will have his own space and not be a challenge to his father or vice versa.

Here are 6 baby peas in their new digs for the next few weeks. There are 2 turkey poults in with them.

Having peas has been a dream of mine since I ws 6 yrs. old. These aren't anything like some of the pics I have seen of yours but to me...they are a dream come true! Now I have to find Prince Rupert a girlfriend. I do not want mating between brothe r and sister or mother and son! Gosh, i have so much to learn!

I came home once it was dark and the only thing I did was get his wing band number. I will get pictures today. It is to bad his train is molted so that I can't admire his white eyes, but he has a few short train feathers with WE so I am fine with that.
