Show off your Peas!

Great pictures everyone! Margret8, I usually keep the doors closed when it is bad since it does stay warmer. When it is sunny and more favorable (regardless if it is really cold), I do open the doors for a bit for them to go outside. Two peachicks and the single adult that free ranged always go outside. The others do like the snow, especially eating it. But their time outside should be limited. My other adults in the aviary with ducks and pheasants so the doors are always open a crack large enough for a peafowl and even my high percentage spalding comes out, he just does not like standing in the snow.

We felt it here in the house. It seemed to last a min or more. It was a 4.8. The cats acted stired up but the are outside so I didn't see them.

We were about 8 mi from the epicenter of the quake. There have been 4 of them this afternoon. They are nothing compared to the ones I felt when I was going to Long Beach State!

I have some unfortunate news. Casper has passed away. She passed a few weeks ago, but my dad neglected to tell me until two days ago. He thinks she may have spooked and broke her neck on the shutters he built for the windows to the coop. :(

This is the last picture I have of her and her dad Owen...

Sorry for your loss.
