I have some unfortunate news. Casper has passed away. She passed a few weeks ago, but my dad neglected to tell me until two days ago. He thinks she may have spooked and broke her neck on the shutters he built for the windows to the coop.

This is the last picture I have of her and her dad Owen...

I just came in after ck on my birds. They are doing fine. That heater for my waterer is worth it's weight in gold! No chipping ice! They sure are eating a lot! I think I'll name the beige-white peahen twinkle toes. She fits the name.

It must be the camera, 'cause the two that weigh over 3000 grams are adults.

What is up with their back toe? One of my peachicks has a back toe that sticks down (yes it is Frosty of course...), but it does not seem to bother him. He much better now.

I think it's just the slippery surface of the scale.
