Show off your Peas!

q8peafowl is pretty much right! I really like them when they are in full sunlight, but I never have a camera when that happens.

Here are some pictures:

Everyone will be in a for a treat hopefully later today or tomorrow. Let's just say there will be a lot of pictures of many varieties!

There are still beautiful for sure, i just meant they are not beautiful as other colors like peach, bronze bs or green peafowls, but they still beautiful.

My peas are growing nicely. Can anyone tell me what variety they are? A number of varieties were free ranging together from the farm where they originated.

My first impression was two india blue blackshoulder peacocks and two india blue peahens. But upon closer examination the peahen on the left looks to have a white flight feather. The two peacocks look like they have some white feathers on their necks. The white on their body is normal but when I think back four years to when my IB BS peacock was juvenile I am pretty sure he had a solid blue neck. Their crests are also missing but the peahen in the back seems to look like a spalding, so they all could be spaldings as well. Correct me if I am wrong.

Two black shoulder males, one india blue hen split white(left), and the hen in the back looks like a spalding hen with low percentage green blood.

I agree the males may have some green blood too but not that much.

My uncle who has the parents said their spauldings did not do well (no special winter protection for free ranging peas on a dairy farm) and all died out. I suppose some of their genes might remain in the pool.
I know they have quite a few black shoulders around their farm (I think they probably sell off any IB cocks and keep the BS ones), so the hens could be split for BS and I wouldn't know until I see if any BS chicks pop up, right?
