PeaDaddy - your birds are so wonderful and you really take great pictures of them, thanks for sharing. What about Up!, is that a nervous habit? I have never seen anything like that.
I have no idea. We bought her that way.

We've speculated all kinds of things, but, she's still learning to talk. I'll let you know when she tells us.

And the whole gang. :)
What a beautiful assortment of peas! Also very nice rustic-looking pen and pea house/shed (I'm assuming that's what it is)! It is neat how their colors go so well with their house and pen setting, it creates such an interesting and serene atmosphere in the photos like they are in a whole different world.

LOVE Patches color and face markings!

Where are you located? Are all of your Opals Spalding? I'm not big on Spaldings, but I need some hens (I have two Opal B/S boys, an IB B/S split Opal boy, and an Opal Silver Pied boy, possibly an Opal SP hen, but she's young so I can't tell for sure, so far it looks more like a hen).

I am located in Cortland, NY.
Of the opals, we only kept a breeder opal spalding peahen.
But I absolutely love your peas and the setup as well!

PeaDaddy: I love looking at pictures of your birds, they are beautiful.

I knew I had always wanted peafowl, and now that I have them, I dug into the archives, and pulled out some pics that really got me wanting to own these animals. I find myself going outside picking through Patches' train to figure out what's under there.... I see flashes of brilliant orange, greens, and purples that make me hope really hopeful that he's going to be quite the photgenic boy.

These were shot at the Omaha Zoo.
