Hello everyone!
I know I do not pop in here often enough. I miss reading all these posts and seeing all your peas but such is a life of a busy farmer. And I spend a lot of time of Facebook nowadays so I am guilty of having other computer time taken.
For those that don't know me, that is okay. For those that do know me from way back when, I wanted to update my peafowl status.
I have finally started bringing my adult peafowl home from the old peafowl place. Here are photos of a pair I haev never shared before last week. My Cameo peacock, his Peach hen and I added a Bronze hen to their breeding pen that will be 2 years old this year. I hatched the Bronze hen from my breeding pair of Bronze, which sadly I lost the mother a few months ago when she got her head caught in the fence and could not get it out. The peach hen lays maybe 2 to 3 eggs a year. They have never developed so this year I am trying her on a different diet.

Keep me in mind when they get old enough to have babies! :)

Welcome back!!! Must be nice to finally be able to just walk outside to see the peafowl instead of having to drive to see them.

Thanks, everyone!
I sometimes come over and look through the photos and read a little but don't get to stay long enough to talk. This is my favorite peafowl place!!!!! I have others I am a member of but this one is fabulous! And you all have always been so nice!

My next pair to come home is my Purple peacock, One Eyed Jack and Roche. I may bring one of the silver pied or pied hens home with them to make a trio since Purple is definitely one of my favorite pea colors. I sadly lost both peachicks that were girls out of Jack and Roche last year. I hope it isn't something genetic since my other peachicks did very well.

This is my Jack and Roche. She is an India Blue because I do not have any purple girls yet. I really think a silver pied hen woudl cross well with him, too and then maybe make some silver pied purples.
