Show off your Peas!

Hi Everyone,
My little Sweet Pea has had some gentleman callers. These 2 beautiful boys showed up one day about 2 weeks ago and had our farm in an uproar. The Guineas and turkeys do not like invaders. They hung around for 2 days and left, but we could hear their calls off in the distance. Well Friday one of them came back. The second male was sort of lurking around. The bold one seems to have made himself at home. Eating and drinking and following Sweet around. I think she has finally realized that he is here to see her, and she still runs to me for reassurance.
Well something else happened this evening, I heard that honking noise that Sweet makes out back where my goats are. Sweet was already in her cage, the one male was in the yard and the other male lurking in the pasture across the street. Do only females make the honking noise? If so, there is another female behind my house. Is this normal for them all to come together in one area?
My only worry is that I allow Sweet to free range during the day and I do not want one of the males to lead her off. Is that a valid concern?

I have had hens show up at my house in the past. I do not know where most came from, but there was one who's owner we did find. She kept returning though, so he had to pen her up. Apparently she liked our males better than the ones at her home. I would not be 100% certain that she will stay.

Our new peacock has arrived home. He suffered some feather damage in transit but is doing fine.

Congrats!

Black Shoulder or Midnight Black Shoulder? His neck looks really dark, but I know that could just be the lighting.

He's just regular old black shoulder. I left him alone last night to adjust so I'm interested to see what I will find out there when I get off work. I hope he's adjusting well.

Last weekend my Dad and I re-did one of the roosts using treated wood this time. It is REALLY tall now I haven't seen any of the peas use it yet. I can't wait to see them fly up there!

I couldn't get Peep to fly up there. I can't reach the perch to tap on it to tell him to fly there!

I have geese and i assure you they do not protect the peas if anything they are the second to run away after the chickens have LOL

You wanna trade? My gander is meaaaaan. My grandson has to carry a stick around with him to push the gander off when he visits and he attacked my german shepard the other day. Congratulations on your win.
Very nice.

None of my geese have ever been mean, i have one hen that gets mad when i pet her gander but she just makes a fuss with me with her head down to the ground, i can even check their eggs they are sitting.
