98! I didn't know they had that mant

Last year my one male produced 175 intact feathers. Counting broken feathers there were 215. This year I hope he will produce more and I have another male that is producing feathers. I will most likely have 300 train feathers that I will have to sell.

At what point can you tell for a IB BS it's gender? I let momma and her babes out a bit today since we've had a touch of dry weather. She didn't leave the concrete with them and after a little sunshine she returned them to the garage kennel/brooder. During that time the others had to inspect and strut their stuff which was so funny because the bitty BS a started displaying!! I thought because it is yellow that meant it was a female BS. Is that not how that works?? It's just shy of 2 weeks old.

Finally got pictures of my peachicks perched up with mom. Colbolt has lost 98 train feathers.

Both boys and girls will display at all ages, it's no indication of their sex. I think you can also tell on BS chicks fairly early but it's a mystery to me. I've been told a thousand times and shown a thousand pictures and I still look at BS chicks and have no idea what I'm looking at...

hey everyone..its been a rough couple of months for me....i am downsizing the flock to about ten percent...currently we have close to 750 birds....all the peafowl will be going to someone or freezer camp....willing to give them away at what i have paid...please pm me...whites, ib, purple, pied, and silver pieds....i will be moving for a short period of time...and when the time comes...if they have homes then they do....if not....so hard for me to say but....yeah...not good

This is sad news @birdman55 , hope things get better for you.
