Comparing these two, Kathy's is a male just look at all the color and dark "lacing" on the back. Margaret's is a female, no color and just the salt & pepper look on the back.

Kevin was the big colorful bird in the animated movie "UP". At least that is where my son got the name from. I've no idea where Fred came from.
