I have mixed emotions! We are going to have snow Monday and Tuesday! An arctic front will be here next week!

I've got ceramic heater and a 200 watt infrared heat lamp in their coop which I can close up along with a heated roost. It comes on at 40• and off at 38•.

I know I was warned against the heated roost, but I got what Brad uses and has used successfully for years!

That sounds good just monitor the bird and the heating systems to make sure nothing is getting too hot or cold.

I am I going to add a thermometer to the coop!

When i had chicken chicks in the green house i used one of these oil filled radiator heaters
Also make sure your heat lamp has a wire cover over the bulb part just in case a bird decides to jump up under it, this will help to keep it from getting broken.

I have one of those heaters in my greenhouse, and my light does have wire covers on it.
