Show off your Peas!

One of your peahens is feather picking the others. Didn't you say the tame hen you have liked to pick at Emerald's crest? If you watch them for a bit you might be able to catch who is the culprit.

If they have somewhere to get away from each other the less dominant birds should still be able to keep their crest. The only time I had one lose a crest was when Ice was sitting on a nest and someone thought it would be funny to peck off her crest.

Evidently India Blue peafowl varieties sometimes enjoy feather picking at green peafowl - Josh says the first birds to get feather picked in a mixed pen are usually the greens.
Maybe because their crest feathers taste better

Or because its bright and noticeable.

I didn't get the garage open for him soon enough last night as he begs at the front door to come in during inclement weather lately. He could sleep in the large coop as all the other peas will but not him! So he went to the snow covered roof. This is him this morning! Pretty blue sky today!

can anyone please tell me what kinds these are...I can get a great deal on all five I just want to know what they are .. here are the pics

the two birds up to anyone have an idea what they could be

same birds...what thinking to bs hens....but not sure

any thoughts....would be greatly appreciated...I was told that they are pied and not related....could they be bs pied hens.....?

I know its late but no pied that i can see in those birds. First pics was black shoulder hen.. the others are black shoulder males, white male and ib female. Did you obtain these birds? I would have and just kept them in for a while together and observed them is all. If was pied I would have thought would have seen it on the flight feathers or someplace at least and I just dont see it in those pics. Could be wrong though.

More I look at the first pic.. it looks male too... love to see updated pics if you got these all.
