My 2 year old hen has yet to start laying, is this any cause for worry?

I have 7 of various ages that haven't started yet, I wouldn't worry.

An great horned owl just attack my 2 year old peahen last night around 1 Am ;(

Buy and install 'Night Eyes' around the area where the birds roost at night. I lost a few birds last fall and since installing the Night Eyes I have had no losses.

I use red bulb Christmas lights in some places around my pens and think it may help. Kinda neat to look out and see the pens at night, too.
