I don't think he was happy that I was taking a pic of him.

 He looks like someone hipamatised him.. mabe he was not alone in his escape plan, perhaps he does not know what he is doing at all in this hypnotic  state he is in in the photo... He kinda looks like he took some drugs.

hormones are in the air.
but the girls want no part of it .
ever since we moved and the kids got a bigger pen i have seen 3 of the 6 display regularly.
the pied infront of poppy enjoys displaying at the ducks and my dog.
pearl (my cameo) displays when she is the only one around.
and poppy flaunts it hopelessly all the time trying to get attention.

and pardon it being blurry i was looking out the kitchen window. i thought the door opening might disturb him.

none of my kids every display togather.
and there are 2 hens i have NEVER seen display . maybe 3 (cant always tell which pied is displaying so it may be both)
my girls are pretty shy about displaying

That is absolutely AWESOME!!! That is a great idea!!!! I never thought about using a metal shed as housing. Sometimes people are giving those sheds away for FREE on our local craigslist. I may have to get one or two when I see them advertised as free. I love that setup! Thanks again!

it would be better if it was a taller one
it is only around 5 foot tall .
but it works.
6 peas. 4 silkies and 4 call ducks and stay in it with no problems.
and more often than not with this chilly weather everyone is inside (by choice) all day .
the peas roost on the perch and everyone else stays on the ground.
.
we are also putting a perch outside. just havent got the chance to do so yet.
and in spring we are extending the pen so it will prolly be twice its current size . and more space = more birds. hehe.
