Show off your roosters

I need to get outside and take a more current picture. The cockerel is in the foreground. Now he has just one long tail feather. Sadly, the pullet died.

This cockerel has turned out better. Come spring he will be paired with a hen that has the a crest and booted feet. By pairing them together I hope to strengthen the crest/booted traits. Their offspring will be paired back to pure phoenix. My goal, as some know, is to develop crested, booted phoenix.

That sounds like paradise unfortunately I think it would be very complicated to have so many coops haha
Oh yeah, been there done that, at one point I had 5 separate coops never doing that again

I have 3 coops now, you would not believe how less chaotic it is here now. :)

I only have one cockerel, currently.
This is Eko, a paint silkie. He was the only one that hatched out of about 40 eggs I got shipped over from Washington state last April. Photo as a chick and as an adult. He has an amazing tail. He has already fathered around 50 chicks! He is a very good boy.😊
