Wow, yours sure are beautiful! Mine are just starting to fill out and lose all their baby feathers. They are 2 months old, I have several that are a little older and I just love how gentle and sweet they are.

That makes me so happy to hear! Thank you for your reply. How many hens do you keep with your 3 roos? I have a back up coop/ run I could use just in case mine don't get along and I need to seperate some, however, I'd absolutely love to keep them all together as that would minimize time/ work to have another coop to take care of.

I have seven hens.

Wow 7 hens and 3 roos. This gives me great hope that my 3 roos will get along fine with my 15 hens. Mine also have lots of room. I've just been reading too many horror stories of what bad could happen I guess.

Wow!!!! you have beautiful silkies
I have a roo and a hen, beautiful couple they're new to my flock

Their coming was funny
I wanted only the hen because I needed a mother hen.
so i called the breeder and i said "i want ONLY the hen!" and they sayed "ok, don't worry, rooster will stay with us". Ok, when i went to pick up the silkie hen, they said "oh, please, take the rooster, too, 'cause we haven't place for him, please, please, he's free". We said, "no, we're sorry but we haven't place for a roo, we can't pick up him". They insisted. we continued to reject.
Then, they said "OK". they take a box and they put it in my car's trunk.
We thought "they give up". But.........
they said "Ok, in the box there are both. The rooster is free. take it"

We was tired of discussing and we would like to have a roo, at heart.
so, we thought "we will find a place for him, too."

And they lived happily ever after

Don't laugh please she was changing feathers when she arrived at home she looked like a cross between hen, iguana and turtle
