Yes, and they are delicious! Sometimes we get a little crazy and put sour cream & guacamole on top of the cheese (which HAS to have shredded cheese on top of that chili)!

You've never had one? That made me check to see what your location was. I would think NY would be chili dog territory.

Ok, I'll be a hick for a chili dog

It’s just how we are brought up in that area. I’d say it’s changed, but my friends and family back there are still raising their little ones like that.

There’s a long list of people (especially my family) that cannot comprehend my having poultry, killing and eating my own birds, gardening, canning, pressure canning (whooooooooa!), and living so far from everything!
I am not the person I was back then. Don't know if that’s bad or good!

In NYC (i’m On Long Island) there are practically millions of hot dog stands most of them offer chili dogs, but they make the best plain hot dogs i don’t mess with it. We call the hot dogs “street meat” it’s funny.
