It is a Multigrain bread. Wheat base. I first heated the lunchmeat, on skillet. Placed the bread on top of lunchmeat to absorb the escaping vapors.... Assemble, and toast both sides on skillet. Hot sandies are very common in our home.
I have to practice self control when I'm in the bakery. Like all things bread variety. I just made this sandie (now) with some black bread I have. Did not need to toast it, just slip some Swiss into center. It is similar to pumpernickel, but soft and slightly different taste/texture.

Meatball sandwich for dinner. Not my fave. Tomorrow will be slow cooked beef ribs, baby yellow potatoes and a salad. Adult food ALL the time now
