Not that anyone asked, or cares.
I haven’t purchased avocados since my husband and I were unable to find any that weren’t rotten a million years ago. One store carried them, and the first several times, we only encountered one bad fruit out of about ten. Then we bought one after another that we thought was okay in the store, only to find it a mess inside. I have not seen an avocado since.

@igorsMistress I went to make your recipe, and discovered a bag had been left in the cart when I went shopping Sunday. My cream cheese and sour cream. I’m hoping to replace it soon!

I've had that same issue with avocados here. I started buying elsewhere and have had better luck recently.
 
I have actually been looking for avocados lately. I miss them! It’s kind of funny that I miss them though, I haven’t really had much experience with them. I can make a decent guacamole, but it’s all I’ve done myself. Again, I have not seen any in years.
California... whew! They put sliced avocado on EVERYTHING! Eggs, grilled cheese, burgers, chicken, mashed potatoes...

I spent many years in California so I was very spoiled. However, I prefer just an avocado with salt and pepper, I can eat it right out of the shell. Guacamole is ok sometimes too.
 
I didn’t expect supper to be good enough for photos, but I should have taken some anyway.
I had Parmesan crusted chicken wrapped in a flour tortilla with Swiss cheese and oil and ac vinegar dressing with garlic, oregano and Parmesan in it. It was delicious!
Now I’m having a second cinnamon roll.

We always have avocados here. It is weird the way produce availability changes by region.
 
Avocados are a favorite here. Sadly, ours weren't quite ready. Tonight we're trying them baked. I'm a wee nervous about that :idunno

:oldJust a warning about that recipe...don't use thighs in place of breasts or tenders. My daughter did because she had them on hand and she said it was too greasy and the sauce was very runny.
For thighs, remove the skin and brown them a bit to remove some oil. Drain them on paper towels before the next step in the recipe
