You guys are killing me! I'm stuck at work for another 2 hours and forgot to bring my puny salad :hit

Can I at least see recipes for those 2 dishes please? Pretty please?

@N F C

Here's the basic recipe I use. I used up French bread I had, half and half and a little cream instead of milk and cream because I needed to use it up. I greased the dish with the paper towel I drained the bacon and onions on. I also just dumped in however much the leftover cheese was, didn't measure. This is a very versatile thing. I just used the 2 c liquid, 5 eggs and 6 c bread part. I also cooked the bacon and onion together, I'm lazy :lol:

I use mayo, red wine vinegar and a little sugar to make the dressing Penny I'm sorry. It doesn't taste like coleslaw dressing though. Maybe the red wine vinegar?
I can't resist coleslaw on fish night.
I'll stab your hand with my fork if you touch my slaw on my plate:wee. Just kidding. I'll only smack ya like DeNoso's head on NCIS.. Gibbs style..:smack
Gibbs rule number 56- "Don't mess with my coleslaw!".

Were not worthy!

Cornbread baked for about ten minutes, then corn kernels, chili and cheese before adding more cornbread batter. I have seen it all mixed together, but it has just been referred to as tamale casserole in those cases (that I've seen).

You guys are killing me!
I've been trying to police my own urges to attack the first food I see in front of me. I agree, this thread will get to ya sometimes!

Frozen peas &
blanched fresh carrots, potatoes, celery, 2 cans of condensed Campbell's cream of chicken soup.. various seasoning shakers.
+ made from scratch top & bottom pie crust. Pre cut the portions for a no mess & an artistically easy on the eyes presentation upon serving the hungry mouths whom didn't give a hoot about appearances.. :gig
So I dumped the portions in feed pails and hooked the handles over DH & DD's heads & they went to town.
Not much conversation at the dinner table with feed pails hooked to their faces.:cool:

Gallus gallus domesticus Potpie
A thrifty way to use up last night's left over chicken.
