Welcome to the thread! Always a treat when I log on and have new folks to meet! Your creations look amazing. Also there is an active contest that might just be up your alley. The link is located in my signature. "Pot Luck".. Thanks for posting on the Yum thread.. :highfive:

Wow.. took a while to get caught up this morning. We grilled out last night. Got our yield back from the processor yesterday. I'll share pix in my next post.
Thanks everybody for Showing Off Your Yum!
:wee

Sometimes the salvage gets some butter and cinnamon on it, other times there really isn't very much and it gets tossed. Breadsticks are a good idea.

The nice thing about doing the dishes when Debbi "cooks" is there are only silverware and a couple of glasses to wash. She tends to serve her dishes in disposable containers and manages it all without using any pots or pans. :p

They aren’t where you put that.

Simplistic comfort meal last night. I have a hatch taking place, farm duties, preparing for a temperature plunge, sales and 67 miles on the car odometer yesterday from driving to pick up our bounty for the freezers.
Couldn't fit this pack into the last freezer so instead of throwing it in the waste can, we grilled it..;)

Don't feed your livestock carbohydrates and your BBQ won't flare up so much and your arteries will thank you later as well. Corn is cheap. But it will make your meat taste cheap as well. Low back fat was our goal. We were told we achieved it as well.
Protein=meat.
Carbs=fat.
Healthy diet for your stock=healthy diet for you.:D

Pizza Hut came up with that plan eons ago.

"What shall we do with all this extra dough?".. Serve bread sticks and sauce on the side!:highfive:
Now it is such a huge phenomenon that they actually make the dough for them fresh as well, but still using up dough on the edge of expiration and salvages.:p

Looks delish! Have you ever tried cottage cheese on a baked potato?

Interesting. I haven't. I don't usually buy it because DH (burly, ex-army man who will eat anything) cant seem to swallow it. Its a total mystery to me but I guess we all have our kryptonite & cottage cheese is his. :lau I admit to being a sour cream fanatic too. :oops: I will literally make other cutbacks in my diet just so I can splurge on the sour cream. I know, I'm shameless.

Debbi cooked last night, I had Chili Poblanos.
I did the dishes. :D

I'm coming down and will work for food. Don't want to see anything going to waste.. I will be bringing with me the following. It can withstand the winds on Everest. Most likely the gentle breezes in Florida at this time of year as well.

I LUV sour cream as well. Cottage cheese is fine on baked potatoes. If someone just does not like it due to texture, it can be made into a sour cream imitation in a blender. My weakness is obviously chili. Whenever we go to Wendy's and have their baked potatoes, I always order chili. Then I fix my potato to my liking.
