Hey looks good finally got home but got money all moved went to lunch at subway day of eating out dinner at the local tavern I do not cook when we are are out all day most often
did get dogs fed

Plant based jambalaya. I added green beans and peas to it.

We had tri tip on the rare side with mashed pots and cauliflower. It was very good, but unfortunately no pics. It was a long day and photographing food was the last thing on my mind. Tri tip is fast so that was the easiest choice. I don't grill, so it was browned on iron skillet and then roasted at 400 degrees for 20 min.

For dinner ,,,, had a pterodactyl drumstick. I just LUVthe flavor of drumsticks,,, but wont wolf on them during the Fiesta gatherings,,,,,
Reason;; I use my fingers to eat it and pull all those tendons out. Gets challenging with a fork alone. When I'm alone ,, nobody sees me eating like my predecessors.

Well,,,,, only used the fingers on the drumstick.

DW made this Apple cake/pie thingie. It spoons out better than cutting into slices. Graham cracker base.

That's exactly what I do. And yes, easy. My "go-to" last minute dish. There is always some shrimp in the freezer. Also, I have made this with leftover, already cooked chicken before and that was good too.

Oooh, that's a great idea! I bet that would be fantastic. I was thinking about trying it over some poached fish...something white, like Dover sole, that doesn't have a strong taste so needs dressing up.

I love mushrooms and am more likely to have those on hand then shrimp. Thanks for the tip!

Have you ever put them on the bbq NFC? Igor soaks them in oil, balsamic vinegar and chopped garlic first. I love Portobellos that way.

Duckling was sitting between my feet, and asked about the bumps popping up on my leg.

I'm excited about dinner tonight. Meatballs!!!! You all were driving me nuts with all the meatballs a short while ago, now it's my turn.

We'll have them as a sandwich with sautéed onions and bell peppers and mozz cheese. Stuck under the broiler until the cheese is melty and lightly browned.
