SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

I read the article and it said that there had to be a court order. It also said that in 2016 there were 9 requests and 8 allowed for credit card fraud and identity theft. The Zodiac killer and the one in Sac this summer did not use Ancestry or 23and me.

The police are not using the private ones and neither are insurance companies. They are using the public databases.

We seem to worry a lot about this but truthfully our DNA is all over the place! CCTV is getting people too. We are under surveillance all the time in public! There is becoming very little criminals can do to hide and conversely many that are falsely accused are being exonerated.
It's true what they say Big Brother is watching, nothing is sacred:hmm

The Police and Government don't get the dna information from Ancestry. They get it from people that post their dna results on public forums. Ancestry and 23andme are closed to police, insurers and etc.

That is a big mis conception that is out there! I have not posted information on sites like that so the criminals in my Family are safe!

Unless they have a warrant to stream line your tower of sights you've been on,a special unit specifically set up through the FBI task force has jurisdiction over you & pretty much anything you claim is yours.

I feel it sets the precedent for a future where our fourth amendment rights can be violated. I guess we'll probably find out.
The law has to catch up to sciences all the time. I would expect some new rules with the supreme court changes coming along.

Everyone in CA with a Felony charge is swabbed now. Some are pushing for misdemeanors too. When we are all swabbed when getting our Drivers license, there would no longer be a need for police accessing ancestry type sites. The same thing happened with finger printing.
