SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

We have a 98' X 8" front porch and a 12X12 back enclosed patio. We have soot/carbon/smog problems when we don't put the grill out from under the exterior ceilings. The front soffit fills the attack with smoke while it stains the exterior in the front, the rear is hard coated green board gypsum that stains from bbq smoke. Our BBQ obsession has been on hold because Mother Nature has a nasty axe to grind with us. Firewood is all starting to mold. Even though it is covered. Humidity is relentless.

I love you like a sister.. but shame on you... :gig

I always make piz-pie dough from scratch- but never stuffed the crust yet. Good for you. "To boldly go where no Farmer Connie has gone". (Star Trek)
I bet it was remarkable.

I don't get it? But I am taking this lately-

:gigIt was FINALLY my turn!

I forgot you use wood. If it's getting moldy can you still burn it, at least for a fire if not cooking, or do you have to toss it all?

I received PM's from Sumi & Niffy Rob not too long ago before Rob's super recognition thread was published. They both said they were grateful etc that I was a BYC addict (kidding).
Today when I saw the post in forum, I thought it would only be proper to recognize folks who keep me glued to the site. Does that make any since?

Thank you Connie. You keep us coming back too! This is always the first thread I check when I come to BYC.

Fireplace in the den is wood eating machine..
We do have some not seasoned Hickory- meaning= hard as concrete. Split some yesterday. Might attempt a bird today. We traded 20 pullets for 10 broilers a couple weeks ago. One is in a brine tub today. Might spin it later.
TO NFC- absolutely love the new avatar
I seriously laughed out loud when I saw it. I love it too!
You always make sense:hugs
I beg to differ..:lau I'm a nut job.:caf
Love that we can all year long here the screen room is very tall so we can grill in, in bad weather
Our back porch has a 10ft ceiling. It's the wood we cook with that stains everything. Just like a chimney in a house that needs to be swept to remove the soot. We are contemplating a LP Gas grill as a contingency plan cooker vs a grilling enclosure that might be in the works.

Any-whoo- was up until 4:30 this morning. I'm like the walking dead today. Tethered to my coffee mug.
Cleaning up the brooder aftermath in the barn. Was inviting rodents to feast upon the carnage. One minute it was midnite, next it was 4.. crazy.
Midnight oil all gone.
But SERIOUSLY- at least I'm slowly having a little more BYC time.. slowly but surely.

That currently is a thread posted by Rob, the owner of Backyard Birdies which has sparked my thoughts and feelings towards creating a post to show my gratitude to the followers of this thread. I will admit, this site has been an escape from stress and tribulations since the first moments that I joined this website. Although the main reason I've stuck around, is because of the friendships that have evolved. I do spend much of my BYC time here on this thread, only because that is where the majority of my friends are. And even during my absence, you guys seem to stick around- thru thick and thin. I am happy the site is prospering and growing, but I am even more pleased that my friends will always leave a candle in the window, so I may find my way home.

These are screen shots from the SOYY Statistics. Current up to the time of this post.
From the top of the list with obviously my closest BYC friends down to the single digits, Thank you for contributing. Thank you for being here. Thank you for being my friends.

Connie, you say the sweetest things!!! :hugs:hugs:hugs
