@cavemanrich do you eat the grasshopper ? making famous to die for pizza with New Zealand Spinach pesto bacon and sausage

My grandma used to make chocolate covered grasshoppers. I don't think they were really grasshoppers, but she was a depression era survivor, with an extensive garden & some really weird ideas about what we should eat (speaking for myself, 10yr olds don't like headcheese & will complain if you try to make them eat the bone of their chicken leg.) So who knows, they could have easily been real grasshoppers. In her defense she made a proper breakfast bright & early every single day. Morning dew mixed with bacon & fresh brewed coffee will always remind me of her.

Dinner here sausage and bacon but used my New Zealand Spinach oh it was good my picture of the final product was a tad blurry ... My phone wanted me to download this thing it said was was software update for something called oreo after it was done my photos are getting odd stay one the screen like forever

Hey Caveman, I cant get over that grasshopper. I keep going back to look. So many patterns, colors & textures. Amazing!
Cute for sure. Don't encounter very many grasshoppers by the house. In the parks and forest preserves they are quite visible.
That is why I considered him a visitor.:) I was considering relocating him to garden area where my chickens would not find him. I think he read my mind about the capture , but did not get the location info in time.:gig Jumped away like lightning.
In the evening DW and I like to sit on the patio, and we enjoy watching the chickies run around freerange in front of us there. I see what happens when a cicada:drool shows up.
