SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

Made yogurt with the instant pot. It's a little runnier than I like and I think I've zeroed in on my mistakes.
But, first time ever making yogurt - runny or not. Lol :p
Made a blueberry compote to go with it. Topped it with granola and pecans too.

@Farmer Connie I think a contest using leftovers would be great, or you could have a crockpot theme, have a chili contest, or soup and salad. Soup and grilled sandwiches and salad. BBQ, or breakfast would also work.
Crock pot/dutch oven! sounds cool. This time of year hot wet dishes are always plentiful.
I would love to see a spin of versions of Chili. Our area has Chili cook offs once a year. We try to attend. Soups might make some just open a can and snap a pic though. Unless a couple preparation pix are required..
I really like the crock pot suggestion..

Soup would be good. Require prep pics! I love soup and love to make it. Not the tin can stuff so much. However, I do have some cans on hand for those days when we don’t have time.

I used a mesophilic starter and keep in a jar on the counter unril ready. So good for smoothies in the summer and no work
What is a mesophillic starter? I was just using online recipes. But, I think I need a better thermometer. There was only a little work required. But, lots of time. Most who use the instant pot start it a few hours before they go to bed. But, I didn’t want to do that just yet. However, it demonstrates how little actual hands on is needed.

@Soon2BChixMom Mesophilic means you don't need heat. You just add the starter to milk and leave on the counter until it's ready.
I like the Piima from www.culturesforhealth.com

ETA: you save a little from your batch to start the next. I've had mine going for about a year and a half now.

I’m going to look into that. Thanks for the tip. We are calculating our savings by making our own yogurt after spending $20 for one weeks worth. :hmm
