Cheese grits and fried fish go together like chicken n dumplins. American cheese, Velveeta, any shredded blend, even cream cheese.... Whatever your flavor is. It's all good

We do not have much in the way of grits here in Woodland. Restaurants do not have it as an option...maybe I saw it once at a breakfast place in Folsom.

I do like corn meal things though

So final but all eaten and it was yum, yes the beast was devoured

Cockerel Soup!

Little cockerels from the freezer


They go into the pressure cooker for 25 minutes



Meat is separated from the bones



The bones go back into the instant pot for 45 minutes



Fry the onions, celery and carrots!

Stock is ready and goes into the soup pot with potatoes and frozen corn



Finished soup with Mexican Corn Bread
