DH brought home sandwiches. I think I was starving and didn't realize it. I snarfed that sucker down probably without chewing it properly & now I'm a little ill. I'm pretty sure one or two of BC's PB eggs would set me right.

Cavy those donuts are beautiful! I always enjoy looking at them more than I like eating them.

There is a lot of things that earn trophy points. If a Member participates in a lot of parts of BYC, they will get a lot of trophy points. It is a finite number though. Those at the top are very close to the limit of what you can get trophy points for.

I still have some That I can get for rating articles. K F C is pretty much tapped out...until Sumi adds more things you can get points for and then they will suddenly go up.

I understand, but what is the purpose of trophy points? Why should I be concerned with how many I do or don't have?

There is no concern. It’s just a popularity contest.

It used to let you know who actually had intelligent things to say. Unfortunately, people were just liking things because they didn’t understand. So now we like posts because we can. Or because we are afraid of the person posting putting things in our food... or whispering in our ear.

The trophy points have more than popularity parts to it. The likes are that for sure though. The old system was heavy on the likes being positive or helpful things.

Trophy points are for things like having a coop page, posting on the welcome thread, rating articles is a new one. They are things you do and milestones like years on BYC.

Of course likes are a part of it too but stop at 110,000 likes. Someone we know has 250,000 so does not get trophy points for them
