I’m proud of me. I was in the kitchen, making lunch. I turned to put the clean dishes away, and somehow the bread pan got filled up, and put into the machine. Now my dough for cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls will be done!

I need to learn that trick!

Not, to go off on a tangent, but I wanted a Buff Orpington cockerel and a Lavendar Orpington cockerel in my 4 chicks this fall, and I'm happy to report I got them. I'm not as happy to report that one other may be a cockerel, although he is beginning to look more like a pullet at 12 weeks. I hope so. That would be perfect. Either way, I'm going to try to keep them all. Thinking about a bachelor pad.

I'm glad you got the boys you wanted. I was just wishing females for @FortCluck because that's what she wants. Nothing against males here!

Yes, I need more females... No more males because my 2 big boys are quite enough.

Understandable! But, until these two littles, i didn't have any cockerels or roosters. And I don't want to raise chicks anymore. Isn't that the hens' job?

Well...that is a common problem here too, but I'm trying to be optimistic.

I think the breeds I have except the Polish and Cochin don't go broody often! My polish is a lunatic so I doubt she will ever sit on a nest!

I’m getting some birds from the local broody raiser. No matter what breeds she has, they will go broody. Before a year, 2-3 co-brooding, and nonstop.
