My chickens ate apple crisp for breakfast. I'm cleaning out the fridge for grocery shopping and I felt like they'd love it. Blue Footed Boobie was so excited because she has been in the run with the chicks and they don't fight her for food. Her tail is growing back too! She is a good sharer but the Jersey Giants can be bullies

Once upon a time, I was dating a DJ that had a brother and a sister. Not one of them could cook. Despite the food being prepared at different houses each year, their mother did all of the cooking. It gets worse. Each person was made TWO pies.
I wasn’t going to sit there, and let an old woman bake 12 pies from scratch in addition to the rest of the feast (seriously, no one ever helped). I said I’d do it... okay, shortening the story. I blew everyone away with the offer, the ability to actually do it, and that I still managed to watch the 11-m-o and 2-y-o (25 mos, and I had her potty trained I get extra points for not ruining anything while running to the bathroom with her).
I had never stuffed a turkey before, so it was a good thing I was dating a DJ. I was so intoxicated at three in the morning, I could have stuffed the dog, and not cared.

Sounds like a good pie!

Just a word of warning...it seems if you make pie two times in a row for dessert, you create pie monsters. Last night I caught DH trying to hide the last 2 pieces of the sweet potato pie and he's still talking about the apple pie I made a couple weeks ago. What have I done?
