I'm making it now! I'll let you know how it is. Serving it with our Italian Beef tonight. Going to put it right on the sandwiches. Doesn't that sound good? Well, let's hope it is.

Think of a Philly Steak. It has onions, bells and cheese. We don't put cheese on Italian beef sandwiches, and in fact, we don't put anything on it but the au jus. Eat it sort of like a French Dip. DH puts horse radish on his. I think it might be good. I'll let you know. I'll take a photo too.

It's not going to taste like eggplant, nor have the texture. Do you ever make ratatouille? You could easily add beef or chicken to that soup.

Here is the Serbian version of the ajvar, which recommends it on grilled or any meats. Now that I've read this one, I'm going to simmer mine. It's really good right now, but simmering and pureeing might be even better!

The chopped roasted veggies with one cloves of garlic chopped and added.

After splitting it in half. Added lemon, salt and pepper, then simmered the one on the left for 20 min and blended with immersion blender. Very sweet. Compared to the chunky on the right bottom. Both are delicious.

Ajvar spred on Italian beef sandwich. Delicious!

I made the beef in the crock pot and it fell apart. But I used Sirloin tip roast and it was so lean I thought it needed to cook a long time. Tasted really good. I’d do that again.
