My silkie × bantam brahma chick hatched today. The other one's due to hatch next week. So far looks like it has black skin and 5 toes. Feet are a light color. Can't wait to see how it's gonna grow up. I hope it'll be a pullet. The black one in the picture is it's sibling.

I have an update on my little silkie × bantam brahma chick. It is really pretty. It's like silver with dark stripes and spots on the head.
In the last 2 pictures it's with it's half sibling. Both have the same dad, but the black one is pure silkie. They kept trying to eat each other's toes while taking pictures.

So another update on the silkie × bantam brahma chick. I named it Oakley in hopes that it will be a pullet if it has a boy name. (I had a chick named George be a pullet last year).

Oakley is growing really pretty brown feathers with white tips!!

The 2nd silkie × bantam brahma egg has pipped. I'm expecting it to hatch by tomorrow. I'm excited to see how similar or different these 2 will be as full siblings.

Can anyone help me guess if these 2 will be crested or bearded? 1st is older bantam brahma × silkie mix named Oakley (6 days old today) and the 2nd is the younger chick of the same parents (1 day old today) both are full siblings.

First 2 pics are of the older chick.
The next 3 are of the younger chick.
Last one is older chick.

My guess is that older chick will have a small crest and possibly a very small beard and the younger chick will have a bigger beard and crest. I know it's still too early and we don't know if it will stick around as they get their feathers, but just game a guess.

It also sort of looks like they might have some sort of lacing on their feathers.

Here is my white silky kiwi mama and stardust lavender olive egger male mixed and made beligio here…… have any of you seen a comb that Bends to one side because his is and I’m concerned it’s going to block his site! It’s a single comb and purple. We got a sister too her name is bell!

Should I breed back to silky? With him or her? I have one white make n one black Naked neck n frizzles …..they are tri colored! I think that’s what they are lol got them from Kentucky n a friend cheryl.

My little Slikie cross, probably with Cochin Bantam. Got her a week ago, her name is Opal. She's a sweetheart and is slowly getting used to everyone. She even stole a minnow from one of the ducks the other day!

I love her mix of colours, so unique.

I have two incubating I will be able to show pics when they are born! they go on lock down tomorrow ; ) they are with our favorite silky hen kiwi and a Roo that was dropped off pics below should be interesting this mix…. We did two ; ) the Roo has blue ears …. Possible moonbeam mix or something. He’s been great tho no idea where he came from…..
